ACADEMIC ADVISORY PROGRAM:

Every student of The Seminary is assigned to an Academic Advisor. The advisory program is geared toward fostering developmental relationships between faculty members and individual students as a context for helping student's progress toward academic, spiritual, social and vocational goals of their program. Specific aims of the academic advisory program include the following:

  • To monitor, as well as foster, spiritual formation in each student advising person.
  • To promote students success and persistence toward Christian educational and career plans and goals.
  • To provide knowledge, information and counsel for each student adviser in assessing personal calling, gifts and interests with reference to career aspirations and opportunities.
  • To guide students in selecting their academic options available at The Seminary.
  • To assist our students in program planning, course selection and registration keeping them on schedule as well as on course toward finishing graduation requirements.
  • To monitor student's progress and to provide or refer for academic or personal help when needed. Therefore, students must find time to meet with their Academic Advisors during pre-registration periods too. (Planning should be completed before registration.)
  •

The Seminary has a Dean of Students who assists students when they are experiencing academic difficulty and solicit help from the Academic Dean and his staff to provide such services as tutoring, consultation and workshops for academic skill development, study groups, tutorial, computer software, remedial studies and diagnostic testing.
